On July 18, 1999, the Yankees' David Cone pitched a perfect game. Only 19 pitchers have ever pitched a perfect game in a Major League Baseball game. When a pitcher is blessed enough to pitch a perfect game, he becomes something of a Cinderella, and gets his name placed in the record books of sports. Therefore, the rule in Magi Astrology about perfect games is:
A pitcher has the ability to pitch a perfect game only when he has Cinderella Transits (same as Golden Transits).
Below is a Magi Astrology Transit Chart for David Cone showing the positions of the TRANSITING PLANETS in red, and the positions of his natal planets in black. ("Transiting planets" refers to the planets in the sky overhead on the day of the event, which in this case is July 18, 1999.)
As you can see, David Cone had two Golden Transits on that day. These two Golden Transits were celestial signs that Cone could have a Cinderella type of performance when he pitched. But it does not mean that he would. Nor does it mean that a pitcher cannot pitch a perfect game on a day when he does not have Golden Transits. What it means is that a pitcher is most likely to have a superlative game with Golden Transits. A perfect game is so rare that it is always the best game the pitcher has ever pitched. During the game, the pitcher was in his Golden Time.
Cone had two Golden Transits on his Golden Day. The two Golden Transits were Chiron conjunct Venus and Chiron parallel Venus.
Those of you who are very knowledgeable astrologers may be thinking that Chiron moves very slowly and therefore, Cone was in his Golden Time for quite a while. So you might be asking "Why didn't Cone pitch more than one perfect game during those lengthy Golden Transits?" The answers to that question are on our Members Only Section of this website.
